The RealLine Anaplasma / Ehrlichia kits are designed for sensitive detection of Anaplasma phagocytophilium and of Ehrlichia muris and Ehrlichia chaffensis from ticks or clinical samples by real time PCR. The kits are designed for qualitative in vitro diagnostics.
Ehrlichiosis or human granulocytic anaplasmosis are diseases which can be caused by Anaplasma phagocytophilum,Ehrlichia chaffensis or Ehrlichia muris. Humans and other mammals are infected by bites of ticks. If the disease is symptomatic it can come to flue-like symptoms up to serious symptoms like Meningoencephalitis especially in immunosupressed patients.
