HPV types that are more likely to lead to the development of cancer are referred as “high carcinogic risk” types HPV. On the other sites HPV-types can also cause genital warts and this types are known as “low-carcinogenic Risk” types of HPV.

Applications

The RealLine HPV 6 / 11 kit is designed for the analysis of clinical materials:
scrapings of the epithelial cells, semen, prostatic secretions, and urine.

The assay is based on the real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method with fluorescent detection of the amplified product for the DNA of HPV 6 and HPV 11 Types in different channels.

The use of other real-time PCR devices and of appropriate reaction volumes have to be validated in the laboratory by the user.
